Finally, Dialogue

super 8 + video

These two video's reflect a process of engagement between the mind and body. Working through trauma that separated the two, this film making was rooted in catharsis and instrumental in developing self care practice.

By using a computer tone voice to read the script the film sacrifices the immediate association with a computer but also allows the viewer to relate to the story - the dialogue between mind and body - outside of someone else's personal experience.

The second video, is more of an ownership taking performance where I created a dress covered in seedlings. Entering the cold hospital environment in a natural gown was empowering - it provided visceral way of communicating  the stark contrast I felt between the natural and medical environments.
